Qur’aan Deep Study-13

Allah’s wonderful Mercy-2

Al Hamdu Lillah who made this sharing of knowledge possible and fruitful, Al Hamdu Lillah who made us join in this effort for His sake, also for our sake, please help me reach others, even if you do not want to send me their mail addresses, can you just forward my messages? And the end of our Dua: Al Hamdu Lillah Rabbal Aaalamein in this life and at the other end.

Al Salaam Aleikum, I apologize for this interruption, I think I found a way to resume sending my messages out. Beloved all, I wish you all a wonderful Ramadan, I wanted to share with you in this Ramadan with a special gift, but I was out of luck, and did not have the means to send my messages out. The first words in the Noble Qur’aan are:

Bismmillah Al Rahmaan Al Raheim   بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمـَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Now that we spoke a little about: الرَّحْمـَنِ الرَّحِيمِ, we also realized how one part of Mercy is for this life, and the other is for the next, let us discuss some of the pictures of this Mercy today. We said how the Mercy of Allah today is given to everyone, be it believers and non believers alike, be it those who thank Allah or even those who don’t, furthermore even those who offend Him, His Mercy covers every creature and creation as well. How this Mercy shows in our lives today?

Before we speak about this issue, let us first remind ourselves of few details, what is Mercy, what are its effects, and who need this Mercy anyway? The first thing we need to remind ourselves about is the fact that when someone needs mercy, then this someone may be in a serious situation, or perhaps done something wrong, or living in certain difficult times or place. Let us give some examples to put all of us on the same line of reasoning if at all possible. Suppose Allah orders you and I to do certain things, if we failed to do as told, be it for reasons known to us, or reasons we know nothing about. Some of the reasons come from our worst enemy, which is Ignorance about any thing, especially our ignorance about what Allah says in the Noble Qur’aan, and this by itself is double trouble, firstly for the fact that Allah sent the book and we ignored learning what He says, second in not following what He says, how can we follow that which we have no knowledge about to start with?

How Allah’s wonderful Mercy start acting to help those who deserve? The first thing we notice, once those who deserve His Mercy, and as soon as they hear calls to shape up, they start thinking: how they can improve their situation in regard to Allah, how they can change where they stand today? Some would look at the gaps in their relation with the LORD, like seeing they did miss over learning what Allah ordered in the Noble Qur’aan, then they immediately start learning, start holding strongly to every opportunity that comes by, like this opportunity Allah sent you and I today. Yes, I too have heard most of the excuses behind your complaints, you say you do not know Arabic, I am helping you in English, hoping some will help me to translate my work soon Insha Allah to every other language. You may say you have no time, if you only know: what is the meaning of time in Hell Eternity to come; and then you will never utter those sad words again.

No matter what your excuses are, they are not even worth considering when it comes to saving you from hell, preparing you for Paradise and the company of the Angels, and the least to say: looking at Allah Eternity after this. Yes, we need His Mercy to save us from the evil temptations, but please do remember: Allah helps those who help themselves, how? Allah says in Ayah 2:152 says:

فَاذْكُرُونِي أَذْكُرْكُمْ وَاشْكُرُواْ لِي وَلاَ تَكْفُرُونِ

“Remember me, I will remember you, thank me and do not disbelieve”. Please read this slowly, reflect about what has been said, how this starts, in what sequence, first it starts with us, Allah says: remember me, then the first step here comes from you my friend, you need to remember Allah first, then this will lead Allah to remembering you as a result of such a promise. How do we remember Allah, this is the question?

Remembering Allah comes from worshiping Him, comes from reciting His words from the Noble Qur’aan with all of our heats and comprehension, comes from obeying Allah in every order He put in the books of do and don’t, which is also for our own good, not for His. When we cross the Redlines He said don’t cross, we need His Mercy no doubt, and when ignoring his book, His orders are Red lines no doubt. In this case we need Mercy from Allah to make us pass this Red Zone we crossed into without knowing, doing things Allah said do not do, yet we amuse badly, simply because we did not learn what Allah said. When we offend Allah badly without knowing, or based over prior knowledge, we need the Mercy of Allah bad enough to lead us out of this sad state of mind, and sad situation. Is Qur’aan from Allah?

Al Salaam Aleikum, we started responding to couple of messages I received, let us continue with the first one first. He asked: why do Muslims attack and murder non believers? We brought the Ayah 190 that says:

وَقَاتِلُواْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ الَّذِينَ يُقَاتِلُونَكُمْ وَلاَ تَعْتَدُواْ إِنَّ اللّهَ لاَ يُحِبِّ الْمُعْتَدِينَ

And fight for the sake of Allah those who fight you, but do not commit any aggressions, Allah does not like Aggressors”. Fight for the sake of Allah means remove all your human evil nature/Temptations during fighting, be heavenly, be kind and loving, and never act in aggression. Fight only those who fight you, then our fighting is done in self defense, done as needed, we do not over do such things. We said we are not allowed to fight for the Heck of fighting and hurting others, as non Muslims keep propagating against us in their sad attacks full with false information.

You think this is so wonderful, let me share more from the same, Allah says next about fighting: do not commit any aggressions, Allah does not like Aggressors. How people may commit aggression in wars, we need to learn in order to obey and follow? Let us give an example, look at the war Bush did against Afghanistan and Iraqi, two buildings went down by some extremists in September 11, or perhaps the US did this to create troubles world wide, for whatever reasons they did this, look at what happened. Three buildings if we add the Pentagon, this cost Muslims three countries, Afghanistan, Iraqi, and Lebanon, this number may double if Bush stays longer as the worst nightmare we ever experienced lately. When the retaliation over three buildings leads to destroying three countries, this is called aggression.

Look at another example of stupid aggression, Hizbullah took two Israeli prisoners, Bush and Israel had to defend themselves by destroying Lebanon over a small attack against them, this is called evil aggression from people with no soul, or from Bush who speaks to God the Devil (he said he speaks to God), not to the LORD we all love and worship. The best rule to follow in order to avoid Aggression that Allah does not like is to follow what Allah says in Ayah 5:45 says:

“and we legislated for them (Israelis) that a soul for a soul, an eye for an eye, a nose for a nose, an ear for an ear, a tooth for a tooth, and causing wounds/hurting receive punishment, whosoever forgives this will save him/her from a lot of sins they did themselves, and whosoever does not judge according to what Allah sent (Qur’aan), those are utterly unjust and aggressive”. Therefore, three buildings Mr. Bush means three buildings, not three countries, and three thousands souls means three thousands, not three millions lives from among the Muslims, also two soldiers means two persons, not the whole country of Lebanon. By the way, Mr. Bush is a good Christian, and speaks with his God as well; I wonder what kind of a God leads him to this stupid insanity, if I even want to consider converting to Christianity that this Bush believes in, I wonder if I should worship a God that orders the killing of millions over the loss of few thousands, or destroying 150 thousands innocent lives over two kidnapped Israeli soldiers, a God with no justice in him at all?

When we go to a war, we need to follow the Law of no Aggression, as Allah taught us in Ayah 5:45, even we as Muslims are taught: do not cut a tree, do not kill women, do not kill the innocent or the children, do not kill the handicapped, have love and mercy even if they haven’t, while they attack us and leave nothing but complete destruction. This is why when we fight them we need to fight them for the sake of Allah, because if we fight them in retaliation to what they do against us, we need to leave none of them to tell, but we have to follow what Allah says. On the other hand, we should not act so cowardly, and say yes sir to those who kill our children and destroy our countries as well as our rulers are doing today, especially at Egypt, Jordan and Pakistan.

Now, when Allah says: a tooth for a tooth, if you took two for one you are in aggression, beware, do not offend Allah, be careful and do as Allah says, do not follow your temptations. Now we reach the Ayah that the non Muslims love to bring all the time, Ayah  2:191:

“kill them everywhere you find them, throw them out from where they threw you, temptations are worse than murder itself, do not fight them at the Holy Masjid of Mekkah except if they fight you there, and if they fight you there, kill them, this is the punishment for the aggressors”.

Remembering the rules of fighting before applying this Ayah we need to say: fight for the sake of Allah those who fight you, therefore, this Ayah is a reaction, not an aggression. In fighting those who come to fight us, in our self defense, we will kill them everywhere we find them, kill who exactly? When they come against us, they try to kill us everywhere they find us, and then the reasonable reaction is to do against them the same thing. Where is the sad thing about this; let us take a little break to explain? When they bring this Ayah they say: and kill the Jews and Christians or the non Muslims, or the infidels everywhere you find them, I wonder where the words Jews and Christians are found in those words, I mean any illiterate among them can see the level of my knowledge about the Noble Qur’aan, yet I cannot see the words Jews and Christians or any of the other inventions they make about the words of Allah. Better yet, do you know how the word Christian is never mentioned in the Noble Qur’aan, not even one time, now some Muslims mistaken the Nazarene for the Christians, and this is a huge sad/bad mistake, Christians are mentioned indirectly in the Noble Qur’aan, like saying: those who say: Allah is one of three Gods (meaning: the father, the son, and the holy ghost).

No, anyone saying this Ayah and similar Ayahs are about Christians or Jews or any other invention they are lying, bring them to my attention, and invite them to a debate, we will show them the truth, we will stop their evil Insha Allah with educating the uneducated. Arabic Qur’aan

Learn how to read Sourah 2

فَإِذَا قَرَأْتَ الْقُرْآنَ فَاسْتَعِذْ بِاللّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ

أَعُوذُ بِاللهِ مِنَ الْشَيْطَانِ الْرَجِيْم

بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمـَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Al Salaam Aleikum, since I did not find a way to send you my messages regularly yet, we need not stop these lessons any longer, let us proceed to Surah (chapter) two in the Noble Qur’aan, learning how to read Qur’aan in Arabic. Of course we all know how Surah 2 starts with:

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

We also covered this Ayah before, please visit my group or Home page for this lesson if you wish. The first two Ayahs in Surah 2 are:

الم, ذَلِكَ الْكِتَابُ لاَ رَيْبَ فِيهِ هُدًى لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ

الم: Again, starting with an ا A, however, please pay attention here, when an Ayah (verse) consists of letters, then every letter should be spoken with a clear sound, this is why here we speak the name of the letter out loud, if you remember the first lesson and the table, this letter is: Alef. Then we see the letter: لـ L, however, you need to notice the tone on top of it, it is: ~, this tone gives a stretch to the sound in any letter it comes with, like in this case the letter L should stretch to a count of five. Therefore, when you recite the second letter L, this is how it sounds: Laaaaam, use the nuts in your fingers, take one second with every a in this reciting. Or simply recite it slow enough to make it five second long. Then we have the same applied to the letter: م M, saying: Meeeeem, with the duration of five seconds as well. Very well, therefore, this Ayah reads: Alif, Laaaaam, Meeeeem. And it is an Ayah with number 1.

ذَلِكَ: The first letter is: ذَ TH (as in THE), we also see the Dash on top to make it sound like: THA. Then we have the letter لـِ L with a Dash under it to make it sounds like: LI, finally we have the letter كَ, with a Dash on top to make it sounds like: KA, the whole word reads: Thalika. Please notice the letter TH here is like in THE, THIS, THAT. Try to make it sounds correct.

الْكِتَابُ: Starting with a silent: ا A, followed by a silent لـْ L, we all notice the tone ْ on top of it, which silences it. Then we see the letter كـِ K with a Dash under it to make it sounds like: KI. Next we see the letter تـَ T with a Dash on top to make it sounds like: TA, followed with a silent ا A, and the letter بُ B, that has a tone of ُ on top to make it sounds like BU if we continue reading, and we cancel this tone if we stop at this point. Fine, the whole word reads: Al Kitabu. However, while reading we must join this word with the one before, and read them together in this manner: Thalikal Kitabu. We notice how the silent A is silenced completely here.

لاَ: You will see this letter a lot in the Noble Qur’aan, if you can memorize even one time, you will read it always correctly, so please try to learn it is so easy Insha Allah. This is a letter that consists of two letters in fact, we have the letter A ا and the letter ل L, put together starting with the letter L, then the letter A, this letter sounds like: LA.

رَيْبَ: Start with the letter رَ R with a Dash on top to make it sounds like: RA, followed by a silenced يـْ Ya to make it sounds like a silenced E, then we see the letter بَ B, with a Dash on top to make it sounds like BA if we continue reading, and cancel the tone if we stop at this point. The whole word reads: Rayba

فِيهِ: Start with the letter فـِ F with a Dash at the bottom to make it sounds like: Fi, followed by the letter يـ E, kind of silenced, ends with the letter ـهِ H with a Dash at the bottom to make it sounds like HI. The whole word sounds like: Fihi

هُدًى: Starting with the letter هـُ H with the tone ُ on top to make it sounds like: HU, then the letter د D with two Dashes on top, when two dashes are used this adds one more little sound of an n to the tone, here it makes the letter D sounds like: Dan, at the end we see a very silent letter ى E, as if it is not even there. Now let us read the whole word: Hudan.

لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ: Start with the letter لـ L, let us make this one simple, again we see another L, to sounds like LIL, followed by the letter مـُ M with a tone of ُ to make it sounds like MU, then the letter تـَّ T with the tones of ّ that doubles the sound of the letter, and Dash on top to make it sounds like short A. The letter sounds like TTA. We see here the letter ـقـِ Q (CK) as in Stock, coming with a Dash under to make it sounds like: QI. Then the silent letter يـ E, finishing with the letter نَ N that has a Dash on top to make it sounds like NA if we continue reading, and cancel the tone if we stop at this word.

Let us read the two Ayahs now: Alif, Laaaaam Meeeeem- Thalikal Kitabu La Rayba Fihi Hudan lillmuttaqein.
